Print Loan Docs to PDF or TIFF

You don't always need a scanner to create document images. Instead you can use an electronic fax or print to PDF or TIFF. It's easy, and helps you save money.

Print to Tiff:

Documents can be printed to TIFF by following these simple steps:

1.  Open the document that you would like to save as a TIFF.

2.  Go to File >> Print.

3.  Use the drop down arrow to select "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" as your printer.

Select Microsoft Office Document Image Writer

4. Click the "Properties" button.

5.  Select the "Advanced" tab.

6.  Select "TIFF - Monochrome Fax".

Select TIFF - Monochrome Fax

7.  Click OK. Your system is now set up to print to TIFF.

8.  Click OK again.

9.  A "Save As" window will open. Select where you would like the TIFF image to be saved and press the "Save" button. Your document will now save onto your computer in a TIFF format which can be uploaded into DirectWare®.

Print to PDF:

Printing to PDF is similar to printing to TIFF, but requires the use of additional software:

1. Download and install free PDF software such as the following: PrimoPDF, CutePDF, or doPDF. Alternatively, you can use Adobe Acrobat Professional (cost associated with purchase).

2.  Open the document that you would like to save as a PDF.

3.  Go to File >> Print.

4.  Use the drop down arrow to select your PDF-creation program. It will show up as a printer option. For example, to print to PDF using Adobe Professional, the printer option is "Abobe PDF".

Select PDF Program as your printer.

5.  Click OK.

6.  A "Save As" window will open. Select where you would like the PDF image to be saved and press the "Save" button. Your document will now save onto your computer in a PDF format which can be uploaded into DirectWare®.
